Oxygen Sensor: Service and Repair

Heated Exhaust Gas Oxygen Sensor Replacement:

1. Raise, then properly support the vehicle.
2. Disconnect the Heated Exhaust Gas Oxygen (HEGO) sensor.
3. Using the EGO removal wrench (Ford part #P79P-9472-A, or equivalent) remove the HEGO sensor.
4. Using the same wrench, install the sensor and connect the electrical connector.
5. Lower the vehicle.
