Speedometer Module: Service and Repair

REMOVAL

1. Remove instrument cluster.
2. Remove eight mask and lens mounting screws. Remove mask and lens.
3. Remove two screws retaining transmission selector indicator or filler bezel to speedometer and remove indicator or filler bezel from cluster.
4. Lift speedometer from instrument cluster.

INSTALLATION

CAUTION: The speedometer is calibrated at the factory. Excessive rough handling could disturb the calibration.

1. Align speedometer with pins, then press carefully and firmly to seat speedometer dial on locators.
2. Install transmission selector indicator or filler bezel and install two retaining screws.
3. Position mask and lens assembly. Install eight mask and lens retaining screws.
4. Install instrument cluster.
