Test Results
Begin with STEP "A" in left column, following instructions in test step column. See Fig 1 . Record test results. Continue testing with STEP "B". Record test results. Ignore codes retrieved with engine NOT running. Go to PINPOINT TEST indicated in ACTION TO TAKE column. A pass code in ACTION TO TAKE column indicates no faults detected. Proceed to CONTINUOUS MONITOR TEST .
NOTE:
If a constant 12 volts is indicated by VOM, a shorted circuit to VAPS control module may exist. Diagnose test connector circuit indicated in PINPOINT TEST Q1

to continue. Repair test connector circuit. Repeat KEY ON, ENGINE RUNNING TEST
and proceed with other tests before replacing control module.
