Temperature Sensor Check

  1. Remove coolant temperature sensor. Coolant temperature sensor is located at top left rear side of engine. Place water temperature sensor in container of water, and heat to 176(0)F (80(0)C).
  2. Measure resistance between case and terminal of water temperature sensor. If resistance is 49-58 ohms, problem in cooling system is indicated. Repair as necessary. If resistance is not 49-58 ohms, replace coolant temperature sensor.
