Neutral Gear Switch (NGS)

On vehicles with M/T, the NGS monitors in-gear conditions and then inputs signal to the ECA. On 2.2L engines, this signal affects air/fuel ratio, idle speed and ignition timing (turbo). On 1.8L models, this signal affects air/fuel ratio, idle speed, ignition timing, fuel pressure, canister purge flow and A/C cut-off.
