Preliminary Inspection

Verify customer's complaint. Before performing any testing, perform a visual inspection. Check POWER SEAT fuse (30-amp). Check connectors for loose, damaged or corroded terminals. Check for damaged wiring harness. Inspect power seat system components as directed by complaint. See POWER SEAT DOES NOT OPERATE  or POWER SEAT DOES NOT OPERATE IN A CERTAIN DIRECTION  .

If malfunction cause is not readily determined, check power seat system. See POWER SEAT SYSTEM TEST  under SYSTEM TESTS. Repair as necessary.
