Solenoid Circuit Short Check
Leave control module and solenoid valve disconnected. Disconnect battery. Set VOM on 200-k/ohm scale. Measure resistance between:
- Blue/Black wire in VAPS control module connector and chassis ground. See Fig 1 .
- Blue/Black wire and Black/Green wire in VAPS control module connector.
- Blue/Green wire in VAPS control module connector and chassis ground.
- Blue/Green wire and Black/Green wire in VAPS control module connector.
If all resistances are greater than 10 k/ohms, proceed to PINPOINT TEST Q1 -PINPOINT TEST Q7 . If resistances are NOT as specified, repair wires in question between control module and solenoid for short circuit to ground.
