Throttle Position Sensor: Service and Repair

REMOVAL

1. Disconnect negative battery cable.
2. Remove air duct from throttle body if necessary.
3. Disconnect electrical connector at throttle body.
4. Carefully bend back Throttle Position (TP) sensor wire retaining brackets and remove wire.
5. Remove attaching screws.
6. Pull sensor from throttle body.

Throttle Position (TP) Sensor Removal:

INSTALLATION

1. Place sensor in mounting position.
2. Install sensor mounting screws.
3. Install wire into retaining bracket and carefully bend bracket around wires.
4. Adjust sensor as needed.
5. Connect sensor electrical connector.
6. Connect negative battery cable.
