1. On models equipped with electric actuator, remove plastic cover.
2. On models equipped with vacuum actuator, remove dust boot from actuator.
3. On all models, loosen adjusting nut and locknut, Fig. 82.
4. Remove actuator cable from cable bracket.
5. Remove actuator cable from cable routing clips, then squeeze lock tabs and remove cable end from pedal assembly.
6. Squeeze lock tabs securing cable housing to bulkhead, Fig. 82, then remove cable through engine compartment.
7. Reverse procedure to install.
