AA - Testing Notes

NOTE: You should enter this Pinpoint Test only when Quick Test has been successfully completed and the engine is still a no start or when directed here from Ignition Systems.


REMEMBER

To prevent the replacement of good components, be aware that the following non-EEC areas may be at fault.

- Fuel: quality and quantity

- Ignition: general condition, moisture, cracks, damage, etc.

- Engine: internal, valves, timing belt, camshaft

- Starter and battery circuit

- Crank angle sensor

- TFI module

- Distributor

- Ignition coil

- Engine governor module


This Pinpoint Test is intended to diagnose only the following:

- Spark (related to EEC)

- Harness circuits: PIP, SPOUT, IGN GND, VPWR

- Processor assembly
