Throttle Position Sensor: Service and Repair

REMOVAL

Component Location:

1. Disconnect Throttle Position (TP) sensor from wiring harness.
2. Scribe a reference mark across the edge of the sensor and to the throttle body to ensure correct position during installation.
3. Remove two throttle position sensor retaining screws.
4. Remove throttle position sensor.

INSTALLATION

1. To install throttle position sensor, align new sensor with the scribe marks on the throttle body.
2. Install two throttle position sensor retaining screws securing to 14 in lb (1.5 Nm).
3. Connect throttle position sensor from wiring harness.

NOTE: The TP sensor is not adjustable.
