Fuel Pressure: Villager

  1. Release fuel pressure. Install fuel pressure gauge. Start engine and read fuel pressure. Fuel pressure should be 34 psi (2.4 kg/cm2 ) with fuel pressure regulator vacuum hose connected. With vacuum hose disconnected, fuel pressure should be 43 psi (3.0 kg/cm2 ).
  2. If fuel pressure is not within specifications, check fuel pressure regulator. With engine running, connect hand vacuum pump and apply vacuum to regulator. Check if fuel pressure is affected with increased vacuum at regulator. If no pressure change occurs, replace regulator and recheck.
