Control Assembly Test: Taurus

  1. Unplug connector from control assembly. Ground control assembly pin No. 4. Connect jumper wire between pins No. 2 and 3 of control assembly. See Figure . Connect test light between pin No. 1 and ground.
  2. Using a fused jumper wire, apply 12 volts to pin No. 2. Indicator light should not glow. Momentarily press control switch to ON position. Indicator light should glow.
  3. Indicator light should go out if control is set to OFF position, ignition is turned off, or approximately 10 minutes have elapsed. Replace control assembly if test results are not as specified.
