Description & Operation
Power window system consists of 2 switches, one lock switch, and 2 motor and drive assemblies. Driver's door armrest contains left and right up/down control switches for both driver's door window and passenger's door window.
Power windows are regulated by 2 encased cables. See Fig 1 . The cables connect an electric motor driven regulator to a slider bracket. When power window switch is operated, cables move slider bracket up and down. Vehicle is equipped with a one-touch (down) feature. This allows driver to fully open driver's or passenger's window by firmly pressing switch and then releasing. When the window is fully open, the switch will release. DO NOT allow children to play with power windows. Serious injury may result.
