Hydraulic Pressure Check
- Raise and support vehicle. Release parking brake. Using jumper wire, connect Green/Red and Black wires at ABS test connector. See Figure . Depress brake pedal. Have assistant verify all wheels will not rotate.
- With brake pedal still depressed, turn ignition on. Verify that hydraulic pressure is momentarily released. Each wheel should rotate for about .5 second. Brakes should then hold for about 1.5 seconds, then repeat release cycle.
- If directed to this test from PINPOINT TEST SV-3 and pressure reduction functions properly, go to PINPOINT TESTS WL-1 through WL-3 . If directed to this test from PINPOINT TEST WSS-8, and pressure reduction functions properly, fault is intermittent. Go to QUICK TEST QT-7 . If pressure reduction does not function properly, inspect wiring and brake lines. If no faults are found, replace hydraulic actuation assembly.
