Continuous Test

- Perform equipment hookup as outlined in QUICK TEST QT-5. Turn ignition on. Working in short sections along wiring from sensor to dash panel and to ABS control unit, tap, move and wiggle suspect sensor and/or harness. If necessary, drive vehicle to re-create intermittent failure and to allow control unit to sense and record trouble codes.
- If tester light is on constantly or audible signal sounds, record volt-meter or Super Star II tester trouble codes and refer to TROUBLE CODE IDENTIFICATION CHART. See Figure . Service only trouble codes created in this test. If light is on but there are no voltmeter or Super Star II Tester trouble codes, system is operating normally.
- If intermittent fault cannot be re-created, disconnect suspect sensor or control unit from harness. Visually inspect all terminals for corrosion, bad crimping, improperly seated terminals or damage. Repair or replace, as necessary. Reconnect harness connectors and re-attempt QUICK TEST QT-7 .
