Stall After Start
- Check for vacuum leaks.
- Perform QUICK TEST. See TESTS W/CODES - EEC 2.5L article in the ENGINE PERFORMANCE section.
- Check air intake system. Ensure by-pass air control valve operates properly.
- Check fuel delivery system. See the I - SYSTEM/COMPONENT TESTS - EEC (2.5L) article in the ENGINE PERFORMANCE section.
- Check EGR system. See I - SYSTEM/COMPONENT TESTS - EEC (2.5L) and TESTS W/CODES - EEC 2.5L articles in the ENGINE PERFORMANCE section.
- Check PCV system.
- Check Evaporative Emission (EVAP) system. See appropriate I - SYSTEM/COMPONENT TESTS - EEC (2.5L) article and appropriate TESTS W/CODES - EEC 2.5L article in the ENGINE PERFORMANCE section.
- Check basic engine condition. Ensure timing belt and valvetrain are okay.
