Reading Self-Diagnostic Codes: Notes

NOTE: Accuracy of self-diagnostics depends on correct operation of non-EEC components and systems. Correct all non-EEC problems in engine, ignition or fuel system attempting to diagnose EEC system.

NOTE: EEC system will not display a PASS code.

PCM outputs self-diagnostic codes one digit at a time. Record codes in order received. These codes indicate current faults in system and should be serviced in order of appearance. Use appropriate CODE REFERENCE table to find correct CIRCUIT TEST.
