S9 - Check EGR Valve

- Check Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) valve for housing leaks or EGR gasket blow-by. Service as necessary.

- Remove EGR valve and check for proper seating.

- Does EGR valve seat properly (fully closed)?

Yes -- Reconnect original EGR valve. Go to pinpoint test step H2. H2 - Check Fuel Pressure

No -- Reconnect original EGR valve. Refer to Emission Control Systems for EGR valve diagnosis.
