Pressure Test: Preparation

  1. Ensure belt tension is correct. Disconnect power steering pump high pressure hose. Keep hose end raised to prevent fluid loss. Connect pressure hose of analyzer gauge to power steering pump fitting. Connect power steering pump high pressure hose to analyzer gauge hose at valve side of tester.
  2. Open valve. Check fluid level and add fluid as required. Run engine until fluid reaches normal operating temperature of 165-175°F (74-79°C).
