One Headlight Door Inoperative

  1. Disconnect inoperative door motor connector. Measure voltage on Red/White wire at connector. If voltage is more than 10 volts, go to next step. If voltage is less than 10 volts, repair Red/White wire.
  2. Measure voltage at door motor connector Orange/Black and Red wires with headlights on and off. With headlights on, voltage should be more than 10 volts at Red wire and less than one volt at Orange/Black wire. With headlights off, voltage should be more than 10 volts at Orange/Black wire and less than one volt at Red wire. If voltages are okay, go to next step. If voltages are incorrect, repair wire(s) in question.
  3. Turn ignition off. Disconnect door motor connector. Measure resistance of Black wire between connector and ground. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, replace door control motor. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, repair Black wire.
