Test A - Both Power Windows Inoperative

  1. Check POWER WINDOW (30-amp) fuse. Replace fuse if blown. If fuse blows after replacing, go to next step. If fuse does not blow, go to step 4).
  2. Turn ignition off. Disconnect 16-pin interior fuse panel connector. See Fig 1 . Disconnect main switch connector and right switch (passenger side) connector. Measure resistance between Black/Red wire terminal of 16-pin interior fuse panel connector and ground. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, repair Black/Red wire between power window switches and interior fuse panel. If resistance is not less than 5 ohms, go to next step.
  3. With ignition off, disconnect main switch connector. Measure resistance between ground and following connector terminals: Green/Black wire, Red/Blue wire, Green/White wire and Red/White wire. If any resistance is less than 5 ohms, repair circuit in question for a short to ground. If no resistance is less than 5 ohms, reconnect interior fuse panel and go to next step.
  4. With ignition off, disconnect main switch connector. Turn ignition on. Measure voltage at Black/Red wire terminal of main switch connector. If voltage is more than 10 volts, go to next step. If voltage is less than 10 volts, repair Black/Red wire between switch and interior fuse panel.
  5. With ignition off, remove METER (15-amp) fuse from fuse panel. Disconnect main switch connector. Measure resistance of Black wire between main switch connector and ground. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, repair Black wire. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, replace main switch.
