Anti-Lock Brake System (Abs)
During normal driving and braking operation, ABS performs like a conventional braking system. Each wheel sensor constantly sends an AC signal to control unit. This information is translated to wheel rotation speed. When the control unit determines that wheel lock-up is about to occur, it activates electromagnetic valves, located inside hydraulic actuator assembly, to increase or decrease hydraulic pressure to each wheel. A slight pulsation can be felt through brake pedal.
