Testing Notes

NOTE: You should enter this Pinpoint Test only when you have been directed here from Diagnostic Routines.

Description
The Turbine Shaft Sensor (TSS) or Output Shaft Speed (OSS) sensor is a magnetic pickup that sends a signal to the Powertrain Control Module (PCM). This signal tells the PCM the transmission rpm.

REMEMBER:
This Pinpoint Test is intended to diagnose only the following:

- PCM

- Harness circuits

- TSS

- OSS
