Test F: Lighting Control Module Does Not Respond

  1. Disconnect lighting control module connector C1. Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance from lighting control module terminal No.16 (Brown/Light Green wire) to DLC connector terminal No. 7 (Light Blue/White wire). Is the resistance less than 5 ohms? If yes, go to next step. If no, service the Light Blue/White wire for open. Restore connections and run Data Link Diagnostic Test. See DATA LINK DIAGNOSTICS  under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM.
  2. With lighting control module connector C1 disconnected, inspect terminal No.16 (Brown/Light Green wire) and the wire connection to the terminal. Is terminal No. 16 and wire connection okay? If yes, go to next step. If no, service the connector. Restore connections and run Data Link Diagnostic Test. See DATA LINK DIAGNOSTICS  under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM.
  3. With lighting control module connector C1 disconnected, inspect the module terminal No. 16. Is terminal No. 16 and module housing okay? If yes, replace LCM. Restore connections and run the Data Link Diagnostic Test. See DATA LINK DIAGNOSTICS  under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM. If no, service the terminal. Restore connections and run the Data Link Diagnostic Test. See DATA LINK DIAGNOSTICS  under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM.
