Accessory Delay Not Timing Out

NOTE: This test is associated with DTC B1405 or B1302.
  1. Ensure all connections are clean and tight. Check for loose or damaged wires. If problem is found, repair or replace as necessary and go to next step. If connections and wires are okay, go to next step.
  2. Connect NGS tester to Data Link Connector (DLC), located below instrument at right of steering column. Following manufacturer's instructions, retrieve continuous DTCs from GEM. Using NGS tester, perform ON-DEMAND SELF-TEST  . If DTC B1405 is present, go to next step. If DTC B1302 is present, repair short to ground in Light Blue/Red wire between GEM and one-touch down relay module. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  .
  3. Disconnect battery negative cable. Using ohmmeter, check for short between battery positive terminal and Light Blue/Black wire in power feed to window switch circuit. If short is found, repair as necessary. If circuit is okay, check delayed accessory relay contacts for short and replace window relay as necessary.
