Removal and Replacement

Powertrain Control Module (PCM):






REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove right hand cowl side trim panel to expose Powertrain Control Module (PCM).
3. Loosen engine control sensor wiring to PCM connector retainer bolt.
4. Remove lower powertrain control module bracket retaining screw.
5. Remove engine control sensor wiring connector from PCM.
6. Remove PCM from PCM bracket by pulling module downward.
7. Reverse removal procedure. Tighten bracket retaining screw to 2.7-3.7 Nm (24-32 in lb). Tighten engine control sensor wiring connector retainer bolt to 3.7 Nm (33 in lb).
