Right Window Inoperative

  1. Perform MASTER SWITCH TEST  under TESTING. If master switch is okay, go to next step. If master switch fails test, replace master switch.
  2. Perform MOTOR TEST  under TESTING. If window motor is okay, go to next step. If motor fails test, replace motor.
  3. With ignition off, disconnect right switch (passenger side) connector. Turn ignition on. Measure voltage at Black/Red wire terminal of connector. If voltage is greater than 10 volts, go to next step. If voltage is less than 10 volts, repair Black/Red wire.
  4. Perform RIGHT SWITCH (PASSENGER SIDE) TEST  under TESTING. If right switch fails test, replace switch. If switch is okay, go to next step.
  5. With ignition off, disconnect master switch and right switch connectors. Measure resistance of Green/White wire and Red/White wire between master switch and right switch connectors. Resistance should be less than 5 ohms. If resistance is as specified, go to next step. If resistance is not as specified, repair appropriate wire(s).
  6. Measure resistance of Green/White wire and Red/White wire between master switch and ground. Resistance should be more than 10,000 ohms. If reading is as specified, repair wire(s) between right switch and right window motor. If reading is not as specified, repair appropriate wire(s) between master switch and ground.
