Section 18 (Heater System): Description
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 1995 Ford Probe. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
Heater system is a blend-air type. Outside airflow is received through inlet duct to be warmed in the heater case and distributed to selected outlets. The temperature blend door adjusts passenger compartment temperature by allowing more or less airflow through heater core. The function selector knob controls airflow to selected outlets.
WARNING:
To avoid injury from accidental air bag deployment, read and carefully follow all SERVICE PRECAUTIONS and DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM procedures in the AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEM article in the ACCESSORIES/SAFETY EQUIPMENT section.
