Ignition Switch: Removal

Disconnect negative battery cable from vehicle ground. Disconnect positive battery cable. Disable air bag system. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM  . Remove upper and lower shroud(s). See Figure and Figure . Remove tilt lever (if equipped). Disconnect ignition switch electrical connector. Turn lock cylinder to RUN position. Remove ignition switch mounting screws. Remove switch.
