Ignition Switch: Installation

  1. Ensure pin slot in ignition switch is in RUN position. Turn lock cylinder to START position and release. This sets lock cylinder and actuator pin in RUN position.
  2. Install ignition switch. Ensure actuator pin engages slot in switch. Connect ignition switch electrical connector. Install tilt lever (if equipped). Connect battery cables. Test ignition switch operation. Install steering column shroud and trim cover. Adjust ignition switch. See IGNITION SWITCH ADJUSTMENT  .
