Diagnostic Monitoring Test Results Table:

PURPOSE
The purpose of the Diagnostic Monitor Test (mode 06) is to allow access to the results of OBD II Monitor diagnostic tests. The test values that are stored at the time of the particular monitor completion are displayed when the particular test identification is requested.

PROCEDURE
These are general instructions to access Diagnostic Monitoring test results (mode 06). Refer to the manufacturer's manual for specific instructions.
- Perform the necessary vehicle preparation and visual inspection.
- Connect scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC).
- Turn ignition key ON or start vehicle (depending on the pinpoint/diagnostic manual instructions for the type of data requested).
- Verify tool is connected and communicating properly.
- View the requested information.
- When finished, turn ignition key to the OFF position.
- Disconnect scan tool from vehicle.
