Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS)

DESCRIPTION
A magnetic pickup that sends a signal to the PCM. The VSS signal tells the PCM the vehicle speed. The PCM uses this signal to control shift scheduling and electronic pressure control.

SYMPTOMS
Harsh engagements, firm shift feel, abnormal shift schedule, unexpected downshifts may occur at closed throttle. Torque converter clutch will not engage.
