One Mirror Inoperative
- Mirror Operation Check (Up/Down)
Remove glass from suspect mirror. See SIDE MIRROR GLASS & MOTOR under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION . Unplug motor connector. Connect voltmeter between up/down connector terminals. See POWER MIRROR SWITCH TEST table. Actuate switch up and down. If voltmeter indicates battery voltage, go to next step. If voltmeter does not indicate battery voltage, replace mirror control switch. - Mirror Operation Check (Right/Left)
Connect voltmeter between right/left connector terminals. See POWER MIRROR SWITCH TEST TABLE. Actuate mirror right and left. If voltmeter indicates battery voltage, replace motor assembly. Retest system. If voltmeter does not indicate battery voltage, go to next step. - Circuit Voltage Check
Remove mirror control switch, do not disconnect connector. Using test light, backprobe between terminals as specified. See POWER MIRROR SWITCH TEST TABLE. Actuate mirror control switch in desired direction. If test light does not come on, replace mirror control switch. If test light comes on, check suspect circuit between mirror control switch and mirror for open or short.
