Trouble Shooting

Check the following items before proceeding with testing:
- Check battery for state of charge.
- Check cable connections at battery and starter motor.
- Ensure transmission is fully engaged in Park or Neutral position (A/T) or clutch pedal is fully depressed (M/T).
- Check fuse No. 5 (50-amp) in power distribution box.
- Check fuse No. 24 (7.5-amp) in instrument panel fuse box.
- On models equipped anti-theft system, ensure anti-theft system is operating properly (horn honks, lights flash, etc.) See appropriate ANTI-THEFT SYSTEM article in ACCESSORIES & EQUIPMENT for additional information listed below.
