Test O: System Identification Fault
NOTE:
This test is associated with DTC C1414.
- If vehicle is equipped with Traction Control System (TCS), go to next step. If vehicle is not equipped with TCS, go to step 4).
- Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Disconnect ABS control module 22-pin connector and Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU) 8-pin connector (located below brake master cylinder). Connect Breakout Box (007-00033) and Adapter (007-00115). Measure resistance between test pins No. 5 and 14 at breakout box. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is 5 ohms or more, repair open in Black/Blue wire. Clear all DTCs and retest system.
- Clear all DTCs. Turn ignition switch to RUN position and retrieve DTCs again. If Code C1414 is present, replace HCU. If Code C1414 is not present, fault was intermittent. No further testing is required at this time.
- Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Disconnect ABS control module 22-pin connector and Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU) 8-pin connector. Connect Breakout Box (007-00033) and Adapter (007-00115). Measure resistance between ground and test pins No. 14 and 25. If both readings are more than 10 k/ohms, replace HCU. If either reading is 10 k/ohms or less, repair short to ground at terminal No. 14 of ABS control module. Reconnect all components and clear DTCs. Turn ignition switch to RUN position and retrieve DTCs again. If Code C1414 is present, replace HCU.
