Ignition Switch: Removal
- Disconnect negative battery cable. Disconnect positive battery cable. Disable air bag system (if equipped). See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM . Remove lower shroud. See Figure . Remove mounting nuts and bolts from steering column mounting bracket. Lower column until ignition switch retaining screws are accessible.
- Remove upper shroud. Disconnect ignition switch electrical connector. Turn lock cylinder to RUN position. Remove ignition switch.
