Master Switch

  1. With switch removed from vehicle, test with a self-powered test light or ohmmeter. With all switches in NEUTRAL position and lock-out switch in OFF position, continuity should exist between terminals No. 19 and 20. See Fig 1 . Continuity should also exist between terminal No. 13 and terminals No. 8 through 11, and also between terminal No. 13 and terminals No. 15 through 18. Replace switch if continuity is not as specified. If continuity is as specified, go to next step.
  2. Check specified switch terminals for continuity while exercising switch as indicated. See MASTER SWITCH TEST TABLE. If continuity is not as specified, replace master power window switch and retest system.
