One-Touch Down Feature Inoperative
NOTE:
Vehicles with keyless entry system incorporate one-touch down feature in Driver's Door Module (DDM) located in left front door. Vehicles without keyless entry system have a separate one-touch down module located in left front door. Test procedures for one-touch down feature in vehicles without keyless entry are not available from manufacturer.
- One-Touch Down Feature Operation Test - Ensure standard power windows operate properly. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Press driver's power window down switch for less than 1/2 second. If driver's window does not move all the way down, go to next step. If driver's window moves all the way down, go to step 5).
- Power Window Input To Driver's Door Module (DDM) - Connect NGS tester to Data Link Connector (DLC). Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Access DDM. Request IGN_DD PID. If PID indicates ACCESSORY, go to next step. If PID does not indicate ACCESSORY, repair Yellow/Light Green wire between instrument panel fuse panel and DDM. Retest system.
- DDM Logic Ground Test - Turn ignition off. Disconnect negative battery cable. Unplug 18-pin connector from DDM located in left front door. Check for continuity of Black wire between connector and ground. If continuity exists, reconnect 18-pin connector and battery. Go to next step. If there is no continuity, repair open in Black wire. Retest system.
- Window Operation Test - Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Actuate window fully up and down several times while observing motion of window. If window moves smoothly, replace DDM. See DRIVER'S DOOR MODULE (DDM) under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Retest system. If window moves in an uneven, jerking manner, service regulator mechanism for sticking and binding.
- Cancel With Up Switch Test - Actuate window fully up. Press driver's power window down switch for less than 1/2 second. While window is in motion, press driver's window switch to UP position. If window stops, system is operating normally. If window does not stop, go to next step.
- Power Window Input To Driver's Door Module (DDM) - Connect NGS tester to Data Link Connector (DLC). Turn ignition on. While pressing driver's window switch to UP position, request D_PW_SW PID. If PID indicates UP, replace DDM and retest system. See DRIV-ER'S DOOR MODULE (DDM) under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION . If PID does not indicate UP, repair Tan/Black wire between master switch and DDM. Retest system.
