Test A - Both Mirrors Inoperative
- Turn ignition off. Check RADIO (15-amp) fuse located in interior fuse junction panel. If fuse is good, go to step 4). If fuse is blown, go to next step.
- Replace blown fuse. Turn ignition on. Check RADIO (15-amp) fuse again. If fuse does not blow, reinstall fuse and go to step 4). If fuse blows, go to next step.
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect interior fuse junction panel. Disconnect mirror switch connector. Measure resistance between ground and interior fuse junction panel Blue/White wire. If resistance is less than 10 k/ohms, repair short in Blue/Black wire. See WIRING DIAGRAM . If resistance is greater than 10 k/ohms, go to next step.
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect mirror switch connector. Disconnect left and right power mirror motor connectors. Measure resistance between ground and switch connector wires. If all resistances are greater than 10 k/ohms, go to next step. If any resistance is less than 10 k/ohms, repair wire(s) in question. See WIRING DIAGRAM .
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect mirror switch connector. Turn ignition on. Measure voltage between ground and mirror switch Blue/White wire. If voltage is greater than 10 volts, go to next step. If voltage is less than 10 volts, repair open in Blue/White wire. See WIRING DIAGRAM .
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect mirror switch connector. Measure resistance between ground and mirror switch connector Black wire. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is greater than 5 ohms, repair open in Black wire. See WIRING DIAGRAM .
- Test mirror control switch. See MIRROR CONTROL SWITCH under COMPONENT TESTS. Replace switch if defective. If switch is okay, go to next step.
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect mirror switch connector. Disconnect left and right power mirror motor connectors. Measure resistance of all wires between mirror switch connector and both mirror motor connectors. If all resistances are less than 5 ohms, replace inoperative power mirror assembly. If resistance is greater than 5 ohms, repair open in wire in question. See WIRING DIAGRAM .
