Evaporative Emission Monitor Repair Verification Drive Cycle
- Check the IAT PID on the scan tool to make sure that the intake air temperature (or ambient temperature) is 40°F (4°C) or greater to initiate the drive cycle. See VEHICLE CHECK/PREPARATION .
- Start the engine and drive the vehicle for 6 minutes:
- Drive in stop-and-go traffic for 5 minutes with at least 2 idle periods.
- Accelerate to 40 MPH (64 km/h). Maintain speed for one minute.
- Repeat quick test. See QUICK TEST .
