Initial Checks

Verify customers complaint. Check all system fuses. See AUTOLAMP SYSTEM FUSE LOCATIONS TABLE. Check or replace any suspect bulbs. Check for a damaged light sensor amplifier and for mechanical damage to headlight switch. Check circuits for opens or shorts. Check battery condition and battery terminals. Check for good clean connections at chassis ground point locations. See appropriate wiring diagram in HEADLIGHT SYSTEMS article. Correct any obvious problems before continuing testing.
