Wiper Motor

  1. Disengage wiper arm linkage and unplug wiring harness connector from wiper motor. Connect a jumper wire from terminal No. 4 (Black wire) of wiper motor to ground. See Fig 1 . Connect ammeter between positive battery terminal and terminal No. 5 (Yellow/Red wire) of wiper motor.
  2. Ground wiper motor connector terminal No. 7 (White wire). Measure high speed current. Disconnect jumper from terminal No. 7 and connect it to terminal No. 6 (Dark Blue/Orange wire). Measure low speed current. Measured current in high speed should not exceed 5.5 amps. Measured current in low speed should not exceed 3.5 amps. Replace motor if operation is not as specified.
