Test J: Wipers Inoperative In Mist Setting

- Turn ignition on. Set wiper switch for low speed operation. If wipers operate, go to next step. If wipers do not operate, go to TEST D .
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect Interval Wiper/Washer Module (IWWM) connector. Hold wiper switch in MIST position. Measure resistance between IWWM connector terminal No. 1 (Orange wire) and terminal No. 7 (Brown/White wire). If resistance is not 3.5-4.5 k/ohms, go to next step. If resistance is 3.5-4.5 k/ohms, replace IWWM and retest system.
- Disconnect multifunction switch connector. Measure resistance of Orange wire between IWWM connector and multifunction switch. If resistance is 5 ohms or less, replace multifunction switch. If resistance is greater than 5 ohms, repair open in Orange wire. After repair, retest system.
