One-Touch Down Feature Inoperative

  1. Function Test  - Turn ignition on. Press driver's power window down switch for less than 1/4 second. If driver's window does not move all the way down, go to next step. If driver's window moves all the way down, go to step 5).
    NOTE: One-touch down feature may be programmed into power seat/power mirror memory system. Ensure one-touch feature is programmed according to desires of driver 1 or 2.
  2. Ensure One-Touch Down Feature Is Turned On  - Turn ignition on. Press MENU switch on message center until EXPRESS WINDOW is displayed at message center. If the one-touch down feature is on, go to next step. If one-touch down feature is not on, press SELECT button to turn feature on. Retest system.
  3. Driver Door Module Logic Ground Test  - Turn ignition off. Disconnect negative battery cable. Unplug 14-pin connector from DDM. Check for continuity of Black/Light Blue wire between connector and ground. If continuity exists, restore all electrical connections and go to next step. If there is no continuity, repair open in Black/Light Blue wire between DDM and ground. Retest system.
  4. Window Operation Test  - Turn ignition on. Actuate window fully up and down several times while observing motion of window. If window moves smoothly, replace DDM. Retest system. If window moves in an uneven, jerking manner, service regulator mechanism for sticking and binding.
  5. Cancel With Up Switch Test  - Actuate window fully up. Press driver's power window down switch for less than 1/4 second. While window is in motion, press driver's up switch. If window stops, system is operating normally. If window does not stop, replace DDM. Retest system.
