Entering Self-Diagnostics: Notes

NOTE: Before hooking up equipment to diagnose EEC system, prepare and visually inspect vehicle. See VISUAL CHECK & VEHICLE PREPARATION.

Codes are accessed from PCM using OBD-II Data Link Connector (DLC) located under left side of instrument panel. See Figure. Follow QUICK TEST for specific procedure used to retrieve codes. If scan tool displays a system okay DTC (Code 62) after performing QUICK TEST, proceed to TESTS W/O CODES - 2.5L article for symptom diagnosis.
