Removal & Installation

Remote Anti-Theft Personality (RAP) module is also known as control module. Disconnect negative battery cable. On sedans, remove right quarter trim panel. On wagons, remove left quarter trim panel. On all models, disconnect 2 RAP module electrical connectors. Remove 2 RAP module mounting nuts and remove RAP module. Lift 2 tabs and remove RAP module from bracket. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten RAP module mounting nuts to 6.8-8.5 INCH lbs. (9-11.5 N.m).
