Pinpoint Test E - Keypad Does Not Illuminate
- Press keypad buttons 7/8 and 9/0. If doors lock, go to next step. If doors do not lock, perform self-test as described in MODULE COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK article.
- Disconnect Remote Anti-theft Personality (RAP) module connector C254. Using ohmmeter, measure resistance between ground and RAP connector terminal No. 15 (Light Blue wire). See Figure . If resistance is 10 k/ohms or more, go to step 4). If resistance is less than 10 k/ohms, go to next step.
- Disconnect keypad connector. Using ohmmeter, measure resistance between ground and Light Blue wire. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, replace RAP module. If resistance is 5 ohms or less, repair Light Blue wire short to ground and retest system.
- Using ohmmeter, measure resistance of Light Blue wire between RAP module and keypad connectors. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, repair open in Light Blue wire and retest system. If resistance is 5 ohms or less, go to next step.
- Using ohmmeter, measure resistance of Black wire between ground and keypad connector. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, repair open in Black wire and retest system. If resistance is 5 ohms or less, replace keypad.
