Switch Test (Single Window)

NOTE: Testing single window regulator control switch should be performed with switch removed from vehicle. See appropriate WINDOW SWITCH  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Use a self-powered test light or an ohmmeter for testing.
  1. With window switch in neutral position, there should be continuity between pins No. 1 (Yellow/Red wire) and No.3 (Pink wire), No. 2 (White/Yellow wire) and No. 5 (Red/Yellow wire), and between No. 4 (Tan/Light Blue wire) and No. 6 (Black wire). See Fig 1 .
  2. With toggle switch pushed downward and pin No. 6 (Black wire) disconnected, there should be continuity between pins No. 2 (White/Yellow wire), No. 4 (Tan/Light Blue wire) and No. 5 (Red/Yellow wire), and between pins No. 1 (Yellow/Red wire) and No. 3 (Pink wire).
  3. With toggle switch pushed upward and pin No. 1 (Yellow/Red wire) disconnected, there should be continuity between pins No. 2 (White/Yellow wire), No. 3 (Pink Blue wire) and No. 5 (Red/Yellow wire), and between pins No. 4 (Tan/Light Blue wire) and No. 6 (Black wire). If window regulator control switch does not test correctly, replace switch.
