Test D: Abs Module Not Responding To Scan Tool

  1. Check For Open In Circuit No. 70 Between DLC & C101

    Turn ignition off. Disconnect harness connector C101 (70-pin connector located on left side of firewall). See Figure and Figure. Measure resistance of circuit No. 70 (Light Blue/White wire) between C101 terminal No. 61 and DLC terminal No. 7. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is greater than 5 ohms, repair open circuit No. 70 (Light Blue/White wire). Repeat DATA LINK DIAGNOSTICS under COMMUNICATION NETWORK DIAGNOSTICS  to confirm repair.

  2. Check For Open In Circuit No. 70 Between C101 & ABS Module

    Disconnect ABS module harness connector. Measure resistance of circuit No. 70 (Light Blue/White wire) between C101 terminal No. 61 and ABS module connector terminal No. 5. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is greater than 5 ohms, repair open circuit No. 70 (Light Blue/White wire). Repeat DATA LINK DIAGNOSTICS under COMMUNICATION NETWORK DIAGNOSTICS  to confirm repair.

  3. Check ABS Module Connector

    Inspect ABS module harness connector for damage or corrosion. Repair if necessary. If connector is okay, replace ABS module. Repeat DATA LINK DIAGNOSTICS under COMMUNICATION NETWORK DIAGNOSTICS  to confirm repair.
